As part of our discipleship program we offer the girls the opportunity to learn livelihood skills, predominantly card and Abaca paper making, but we also offer livelihood training opportunities like cosmetology and massage. Alongside YWAM Olongapo we run Tamar Foundation which seeks to provide the girls who live in our centre the opportunity to learn skills which can benefit them in future life and also help provide them with an income. Tamar works like a business so the girls work Monday to Friday, some of them make cards and others make the paper. Currently we are working with another orgainisation: Samaritana based in Manila, where we make cards to order. We are also working on more of our own card designs to sell to suppliers anywhere in the world, if you are interested please get in touch.
